QMV7A 4G Tablet App Space Issue
Hi,
I'm a computer tech at a small computer repair shop. I had a client bring me her QMV7A tablet because it wasn't letting her use the email app due to a lack of storage space on the device.
Upon looking in the apps section of the settings I notice she actually has about 3GB of space left and shouldn't be getting this error. The problem, however, is that the tablet is limited to 1GB of space ONLY on an 8GB tablet for downloaded apps. She had used 950MB of this space, hence her reason for getting this error.
Download game dev tycoon 145 free full version. I went through and cleared a ton of app cache and data, but only freed up about 50MB of space. After removing and reattaching her 3 email accounts, they all now worked perfectly. However the problem still remained. She would be back into the shop in less than a month with the same issue if I just left it at that.
I tried some other fixes. but nothing seemed to work, so I ended up doing a factory reset with her permission. Now the issue is fixed and I have about 700mb of free space, but I'm noticing as pre-installed google and carrier bloatware install and update, that space is filling rapidly.

The 1GB of space probably wouldn't be much of an issue, except for the fact that once all the google and pre-installed apps are updated that space is totally used up, leaving no space for additional apps or app data.
Why would you limit a product to 1GB of space for apps, then take up that space with preinstalled bloatware and google apps. That's some really poor design and I really need to get this resolved for this customer.
Many of you will probably suggest rooting and while I personally am comfortable with this, us as a shop are not willing to get into it unless absolutely 100% necessary. And even then we are really not wanting to. Then I have to go through explaining to the customer what we are doing and the dangers of bricking, and it's just not a good situation.
So is there any way to increase the amount of space for installed apps, or to somehow move the preinstalled apps out of this space?
